Cars make more global warming than mopeds, but are safer in accidents. Climate change also kills. What to do?

If climate change is resulting in deaths from sever weather, droughts etc, by driving a car somehow we might be contributing to someone's death somewhere. A moped hardly burns any petro, but is more dangerous to ride. Is there a trade off?
