Good songs for my band?

Me and my friend are putting together a band for a thing to do for our school talent show. My friend is the lead guitarist and his a pretty good guitarist who has been playing for four years. I'm the rhythm guitar and singer. I can hold my own at guitar (I've also played for four years) and I have a tenor voice. Our bist is very new to b but can play most basic lines. Our drummer has been playing for about three years and is pretty good at picking up songs. We're fans of most punk and alternative rock or pretty much any rock. We've been looking at songs by the offspring, rancid, slightly stoopid, sum41, and a couple others but we're open to most suggestions.
