Minority/endangered languages in the UK and Ireland?

I think Irish Gaelic is making a comeback in Ireland as it is taught in school. As an English person I wish Gaelic was taught in every school within Britain and Ireland, it'd be nice to speak two languages especially an ancient one. Because French doesn't seem to get through to young students.
