How would a little girl intrepid when she is told that she was born in Japan to a Japanese mother and an American father. When she was an infant her father took her home to California on a US military airplane. Shortly after ward after a child custody battle in California, her father was granted full custody of her and her mother went back to Japan. Her father told her that the US State Department knows from experience that most Japanese women would have never allowed her to see her father ever again. She can’t see her birth mother until she is 18, because her father is afraid that she will re abduct her back to Japan. Her father legally changed her name so the Japanese Civil registry can’t trace her in the US.
